Department Layout

The Avon Fire Department combines career and call personnel to provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services. Career firefighters and medics staff the station on rotating 24-hour shifts.

Our call firefighters are an essential part of the response. They are called in when on-duty crews are committed to another incident, when multiple calls occur at the same time, or when a major incident requires more firefighters to safely control the emergency.
